Autumn Memorial Chanting Service

co-organized by Rose Hills and I.B.P.S. Buddhist Memorial Complex

Rose Hills Memorial Park and I.B.P.S. Buddhist Columbarium are organizing the Annual Tomb Sweeping Festival - Memorial Chanting Ceremony on Sunday October 17, 2021, Dharma Service will be held online only.

Filial piety is considered the first virtue in Chinese culture, and paying respect to One's ancestors is one of the most important cultural values today.

This ceremony consists of the "Amitabha Thrice Yearning" scripture, which recites the Amitabha Sutra Three times. The scripture concerns a discourse that the Buddha gave at Jeta Grove in Sravasti to his disciple Sariputra about the wondrous Adornments that await the righteous in the Western Pure Land of Sukhavati, as well as the beings who reside there, including the Amitabha Buddha. The text also describes what one must do to be reborn there.

You are welcome to make offering of incense at the venue of the ceremony, and pay respect to the ancestors and deceased.
