On this day, we commemorate Sakyamuni Buddha´ s enlightenment and awakening of perfect wisdom. Thanks to a shepherdess's offering of porridge, the Buddha regained enough strength to focus on his contemplation and awareness. Since then, Buddhists celebrate Buddha's Enlightenment Day by offering Laba Porridge to all.
