Making Thousands of Moon Cakes
September 12, 2016

In appreciation of our volunteers’ long term dedication and hard work, the temple specially invited dozens of grandmothers and mothers of the BLIA White Tower subchapter to make approximately two thousand moon cakes in the span of four days. With each moon cake placed in its own delicate box, a venerable will personally present each one to a volunteer so they may have a surprising and touching Mid-Autumn Moon Festival.

This group of grandmothers and mothers worked creatively and with team spirit. While some of them prepared the filling, some measured flour, some rolled dough, and others placed them in the oven and then into boxes. All of them smiled full of joy and love. They also added that they would come back again to make more moon cakes next year!
