Arcadia Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

The Arcadia Interfaith Action Group presented the Thanksgiving Interfaith Services in Church of the Good Shepherd on 11/24 evening. Ven. Man Kuang, Director of Outreach of Hsi Lai Temple, with Ven. Man Jing, Ven. Miao Hsi and Ven. Miao Wei represent Buddhist to present a prayer and chanting of transfer of merit to all. 50 members of Buddha Light International Association, BLIA, from Hsi Lai Subchapter, Lotus SoCal, Monterey Park Subchapter, and Arcadia Subchapter participated in this event. And the most fantastic drum trope from Hsi Lai Temple was invited to have the great performance in the beginning and the ending of the ceremony. The mayor of Arcadia and representative of Fire Department were the Honorable guest of the ceremony. All the donations will go to Foothill Unity Center. The kids from different faiths also had presented their prayers for Thanksgiving. The theme of this year's thanksgiving service is thanks to food services, includes planting, harvesting, marketing, and feast preparation. The prayers was presented by different religious leaders includes AIAG convener, Dr. Jolene, Catholic, Christian, Sikh, Baha'i, Jewish and Buddhism.
