EFFORT IS LIKE A TREASURE
Translated into Chinese by Liaocan (1916 - 1985)
English translation: Zhi Yue

Those who make effort, are mindful, pure in conduct, self-disciplined, and live in accordance to the Dharma, have ever-increasing glory.

Through effort, heedfulness, and self-discipline, the wise make a continent for themselves that cannot be submerged by flood.

The foolish and ignorant indulge in heedlessness, while the wise guards his heedfulness as if protecting a gem.
